Characters

When I first thought of characters – I completely fictionalized them. As more people find out that I am writing a novel – I am asked (and in some instances told) by friends if they can have a character in my book. Considering that this is just for fun and I plan to never try to get it published – the answer is = of course… I do take some (ok – A LOT OF) creative license – so beware. You know what they say about getting what you wish for…

Main Characters

Protagonist

Antagonist

Supporting Characters

Granny -This is the only one of my characters based on someone I knew – my Granny. And to this point – I have no intention to change her in any way. My Granny had more personality than I could write in my wildest dreams. The only things I will be fictionalizing is her dialog and even then I plan to use phrases that she did when she was alive. For those of you who knew Granny, feel free to send me your favorite Granny saying, I’ll try to add it to the dialog.

Name yet to be determined – secondary story to run along side the plot – the oh so sweet lady, that lives a few doors down, who has a perfect family and is always telling everyone how concerned she is about them. “oh, I’m sorry to hear that.”  She even has a concerned look that she uses. But, at least our protagonist, can see past the facade. Her husband gives her the world on a platter – her children are angles (at least in her eyes) – but she has a deep, dark secret… and even-though she thinks NO ONE knows… eventually she will find out that the whole town knows (and has for a very long time) – everyone that is – except her family. And “why, oh why, do bad things keep happening to me/ my family?” She will find out that Karma is a powerful force.
